About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Class Teacher to join our supportive and nurturing team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for teaching a small bespoke class group of up to 6 pupils with special education needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and present lessons that cater to the needs of the entire ability range, working collaboratively with colleagues and teaching assistants.
  • Motivate pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative presentation, promoting pupil engagement and learning.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote pupil engagement and learning, creating a safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • Ensure all school policies and procedures are adhered to in line with the school values.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Successful SEN teaching experience.
  • A good knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to the success of every student.
