Job Title: Assistant Producer - Sky Sports News

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Producer to join our team at TVZ. As an Assistant Producer, you will play a key role in the production of our sports news output, working closely with our Deputy Producer/Producer to deliver high-quality content to our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of morning and daytime output on Sky Sports News, ensuring that all content meets the highest editorial standards.
  • Produce output from the Automated Gallery and build rundowns independently, using your creativity and initiative to develop innovative and engaging content.
  • Take responsibility for the production and development of major/key stories, working closely with our team to ensure that all content is accurate, informative, and engaging.
  • Help to produce innovative and imaginative ways of delivering the content, using your knowledge of our audience and our brand to develop content that resonates with them.
  • Help oversee the production of content, ensuring that it meets the editorial standards laid out in the SSN style guide.
  • Suggest ideas and story treatments, and encourage contributions from the production and graphic teams.
  • Responsible for creating and producing Sky News Sports Bulletins, using your skills and experience to deliver high-quality content to our audience.
  • Produce graphics using the LUCI system, ensuring that all visual elements are of the highest quality and meet our brand standards.
  • Mentor and coach junior members of the production teams, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with Presenters and Directors, ensuring that all content is delivered to the highest standard and meets our brand expectations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a production role, with a strong understanding of the TV industry and the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality content.
  • Knowledge of the LUCI system and experience of producing graphics using this system.
