We are currently seeking a motivated Assistant Producer to join our team on a fixed-term basis, focusing on delivering exceptional Rugby coverage.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Contributing to the Rugby Union production team throughout the season, engaging in all facets of production including brainstorming creative concepts, overseeing shoots, and editing video segments for live broadcasts.
  • Assisting the Executive Producer and other Producers in the weekly content creation and live Rugby events.
  • Participating in dynamic live production environments, focusing on significant narratives and enhancing viewer engagement through insightful analysis.
  • Collaborating with the media management team to organize and maintain archival materials throughout the season.
  • Actively participating in production meetings, offering innovative and relevant ideas for features and video segments.
  • Possessing a solid understanding of social media platforms and recognizing the types of content that drive viewer engagement.

Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and employees may be asked to perform additional reasonable duties. This role may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as well as travel for shoots and outside broadcasts.

Candidate Profile

Who You Are...

  • You bring experience in a similar live broadcast role, adept at working in fast-paced environments such as live galleries and Outside Broadcasts.
  • You possess a solid understanding of sports, with a strong editorial sense and a willingness to expand your knowledge, particularly in Rugby Union.
  • You are proactive, organized, and a collaborative team player.
  • You are capable of managing projects from inception to completion, from conceptualization to execution and final editing.
  • You are a versatile Assistant Producer with a flair for generating engaging content and producing compelling video segments.
  • You communicate your ideas effectively and apply critical thinking in your work.
  • You have a genuine passion for sports broadcasting and are eager to contribute to a production team that creates high-quality programming. You are aware of the evolving media landscape and the opportunities it presents for the future of sports digital broadcasting.
  • While not essential, skills in coordinating video segments in a gallery or OB truck, self-shooting, or proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro would be advantageous.
