About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our residential children's home in Bridgwater, Somerset. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services to children and young people aged 8-18 who have experienced trauma, neglect, and crisis in their young lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of staff to provide a warm, safe, and settled place for children and young people to call home.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the home, including day-to-day management and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality support services, including care and placement planning, risk and review processes, and education, health, and social needs.
  • Manage stress and difficult dynamics, demonstrating emotional resilience and ability to sustain and work through placement issues.
  • Monitor the service for quality of care and in line with Ofsted inspection requirements.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma (Children, Young People and Families) and/or working towards a Level 5 Diploma.
  • At least 3 years' experience of working with children in a registered environment, with 1 year at a senior level.
  • Full clean UK driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Experience of working in a residential setting, inter-agency work, and eligibility to work in the UK.
