Role Overview:

BAE Systems (New) is seeking a highly skilled IT Risk Manager to join their IM&T Governance and Assurance team. The successful candidate will develop and implement a new risk management strategy for IM&T, assessing current risk management practices within IM&T and aligning them with enterprise risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tailor, implement and maintain the risk management strategy, policies, procedures and plan for the programme in line with business process
  • Monitor and audit the quality, application and effectiveness of the risk management process including risk toolset and provide assurance to the programme and business
  • Ensure effective risk management guidance and training packages are in place to support the risk team and programme
  • Advise and guide programme / project management team on key risk issues facing the programme / project
  • Review and challenge risk data

Requirements:

  • Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Risk Management (tools, techniques, practices) and good knowledge within an IT environment
  • Strong analytical skill set with proven ability to integrate, interpret and articulate risk information across multiple project areas
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to guide and influence at a senior level internally and externally
  • ISO9001 or similar would be advantageous
