Job Description

Finance Operations Manager

We are currently seeking a Finance Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of the Matchtech team, you will be responsible for managing and controlling finance aspects of IT Product Group OpEx budget. Your primary focus will be on cost accounting, budgeting, financial reconciliation and reporting, with a goal of delivering the OpEx budget to cost, timescales and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality financial reports to senior management, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Collaborate with sub-cost account teams to provide financial guidance and support, ensuring alignment with the overall Product Group budget.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and identify areas for efficiency improvements, driving quality improvement and cost reduction.
• Develop and maintain cost account systems, procedures, processes and practices to accurately track OpEx costs.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate financial information and provide expert advice on cost management best practices.
• Manage risk and opportunity assessments, developing mitigation plans to address potential risks and capitalize on opportunities.
• Participate in financial audits and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and optimize financial performance.

Requirements:
• Typically working to SFIA level 4
• Proven experience in Cost Account Management
• Takes on a lead role, providing consultancy advice, guidance and mentorship to sub-Cost Account Management Teams
• Benchmarks and reviews improved ways of working, continually seeking opportunities for quality improvement and cost reduction
• Good understanding of the ITIL4 framework
• Experience of working in an IT Function
• Proficient in financial management software (ideally SAP, but Oracle, or similar)
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel
• Risk management background
• Trained at least to ITIL foundation, and either appropriate ITIL Intermediate or other appropriate capability training
• Knowledge of working within a SIAM operating model would be beneficial

The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £65,000 per annum.
