We are an elective surgical centre providing arthroplasty surgery, orthopaedics, general surgery, endoscopy and cataract surgery. The clinical departments include Outpatients, Day Surgery Unit, Inpatient Ward, Theatres, Endoscopy suite, Radiography, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy, with care provided by a multidisciplinary team.

This role is open to applications for full-time (37.5 hrs) or part-time work (minimum). Our salary package includes:

  • £43,100 FTE per annum (pro-rata)

The IPC Lead will lead the monitoring, surveillance and investigation of infections and advise on preventative measures. This will involve leading programmes/projects relating to infection control and providing expert advice on all aspects of prevention and control.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised qualification in Infection Prevention (Post Graduate Diploma or MSc)
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Experience of teaching and presenting, as well as practical experience of undertaking audits and development plans
