About the Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Behavioral Intervention Associate to join our team in Scarborough, UK. As a key member of our team, you will work directly with students who may exhibit challenging behaviours, applying de-escalation techniques and supporting their social and academic development.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Support students with challenging behaviours by providing one-on-one or small group support.
  2. Collaborate with the wider school team, including special education staff, pastoral care teams, and external agencies.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to support students' social and academic development.
  4. Maintain a safe and secure learning environment, adhering to school policies and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. Hold current and up-to-date Team Teach certification.
  2. Demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to working with students who face challenges in their learning or behaviour.
  3. Possess a relevant qualification in education, child development, or behaviour support.
  4. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
  5. Hold an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one.
