Your New Role at Hays Careers

We are assisting an M+E contractor in Wiltshire with the recruitment of an Electrical Estimator to join their busy team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will work closely with clients to establish their requirements, set up the estimate structure within estimating software, and input labour, material, and subcontract elements. You will also complete site surveys, negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, and finalise costs with the Bid Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish client requirements and set up estimate structures
  • Input labour, material, and subcontract elements into estimating software
  • Complete site surveys and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Finalise costs with the Bid Manager and prepare tender submissions

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a strong knowledge of installation methods
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • Strong numerical, written communication, and presentation skills

What You'll Get

This role is offered with a salary between £45,000 - £50,000 per annum on a permanent contract.
