About the Role

We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our team as a lead in the emergency floor therapy service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert assessment and management of patients within the urgent care setting, including musculoskeletal injuries, falls, frailty, neurology, and respiratory care.

The role involves working closely with other band 7 therapy staff to jointly lead the therapy service covering the emergency department and AMU, and will have strong links to the wider MDT, statutory and voluntary agencies external to the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage and provide effective leadership of therapy staff within the emergency floor environment, including rostering over a 7-day service, supervision, and training of junior staff.
  • To develop and utilize non-clinical leadership/management skills, including roster management, recruitment, annual leave planning, weekend and rota management, sickness management, Datix handling, and complaints management.
  • To ensure high standards of clinical practice, including service development/monitoring, audits, and projects liaising with medical and nursing staff within the ED areas.
Person Specification
  • B.Sc in Physiotherapy or Grad.Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with HCPC
  • Post Graduate courses in Management at various levels/equivalent

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and leadership skills. The salary for this position is £53,619 per annum.
