About the Role:

We are seeking an Editorial Assistant to join our editorial team at Ebury, a leading publisher of non-fiction books. As an Editorial Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our editorial team, working on a wide range of tasks including diary management, data entry, and book processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the editorial team, including diary management, data entry, and book processing.
  • Assist with the management of spreadsheets and sales reports using Excel and Biblio.
  • Manage the input and accuracy of data on our publishing systems.
  • Develop editorial skills, including researching book ideas, talent scouting, and writing persuasive cover copy.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work to, and meet, deadlines.
  • Ability to respond and adjust to fast-changing priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, on email, in remote-working situations, and in-person, with the ability to communicate clearly and build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
