About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our Family Services Team at St Wilfrid's Hospice. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our psychosocial services, which are delivered by a dedicated team of employees and volunteers across counselling, social work, chaplaincy, and bereavement support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior leadership and operational management to the Family Support Team, ensuring the highest quality social work, spiritual support, counselling, and bereavement provision that is safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led.
  • Lead on user involvement and engagement to ensure hospice services are truly person-centred and tailored to the needs of our local community as well as individual recipients of our support and care.
  • Work in partnership with the Director of Clinical Services to actively identify and create opportunities to develop the Family Support Team in the pursuit of widening access and optimising quality of life for palliative patients and their loved ones, in line with the Hospice vision and strategic plan.
Requirements
  • Proven specialist psychosocial skills, knowledge, and evidence-based practice with direct or transferable application to palliative care.
  • Experience of facilitating group activities.
  • Experience of robust service evaluation, including the use of outcome measures.
  • Experience of leading a therapeutic service.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience of leading a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with patient electronic records such as SystmOne.
  • Knowledge of OACC Palliative Care Outcome Measures.
