We are seeking a skilled Weekend Cook to join our team at St Josephs Approved Premises in Eccles, Manchester. As a Weekend Cook, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meals to our residents while maintaining the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and cook meals for residents, ensuring that they are presented in a visually appealing manner.
- Follow recipes accurately and have a good experience in volume cooking.
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are clean and well-maintained, adhering to strict food hygiene standards.
- Manage food stock, check equipment, and monitor portion control to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collect and report data as required, including temperature control during production, preparation, service, and storage.
- Report any accidents, near misses, damage, or breakages to the Catering supervisor.
- Ensure the Catering Department is opened and closed at the required times and secured when not in use.
- 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking.
- Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and open to cooking various cuisines.
