We are seeking a skilled Weekend Cook to join our team at St Josephs Approved Premises in Eccles, Manchester. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare meals for residents, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and well-maintained, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
- Manage food stock, equipment, and supplies, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of food preparation, storage, and disposal.
- Report any accidents, near misses, or equipment issues to the Catering Supervisor.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, supporting colleagues and residents alike.
- 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking, preferably in a similar environment.
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene standards and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
