We are seeking a skilled Weekend Cook to join our team at St Josephs Approved Premises in Eccles, Manchester. As a Weekend Cook, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meals to our residents while maintaining the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and cook meals for residents, adhering to strict food hygiene standards.
- Ensure routine day-to-day and specialized cleaning of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, kitchen floors, and storage areas.
- Manage and control all food, including receiving and checking stock, monitoring portion control, and maintaining accurate records.
- Report any accidents, near misses, damage, or breakages to the Catering Supervisor.
- Ensure the Catering Department is opened and closed at the required times and secured when not in use.
- 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking.
- Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and cook a variety of cuisines.
