We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented accountant to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis, working 22.5 hours per week. This role comes with a competitive salary of £44,074 FTE (£19.47 per hour), making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking a better work-life balance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management, preferably holding an ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA qualification. They will be responsible for providing essential financial support to our organisation, focusing on reporting and the development of robust financial systems and processes.

In this role, you will prepare and review management and year-end accounts, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and support both internal and external audit processes. You will also work closely with local treasurers and assist with various regulatory submissions to maintain compliance.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  1. A qualified accounting background
  2. Membership of a recognised accountancy body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent
  3. Experience working in a busy finance setting
  4. Excellent IT and Excel skills
