Salary: Up to £60,000 FTE (dependent on experience)
Job Description:
As a Veterinary Surgeon at GLG Vets, you will play a vital role in our collaborative team, working closely with us to provide excellent veterinary care. Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality care to a diverse range of cases, performing routine and advanced surgeries, consultations, and diagnostic procedures, as well as maintaining accurate patient records and treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver High-Quality Care: Provide top-notch medical, surgical, and preventative care to our clients' pets, using your expertise to deliver the best possible outcomes.
- Surgical and Diagnostic Procedures: Perform routine and advanced surgeries, consultations, and diagnostic procedures, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in veterinary medicine.
- Client Care and Communication: Offer exceptional client care, building strong relationships with pet owners through effective communication and empathy.
- Patient Records and Treatment Plans: Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring that treatment plans are thorough and up-to-date.
- Clinical Discussions and Case Reviews: Contribute to and participate in clinical discussions and case reviews with the team, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Professional Growth and Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in veterinary medicine, actively pursuing professional growth and development through supported CPD opportunities.
- Team Support and Mentoring: Support less experienced team members, including mentoring when appropriate, to help them grow and develop in their roles.
Working Hours and Benefits:
- Full-time Position: Work a standard full-time schedule, with flexibility to accommodate work-life balance.
- Benefits Package: Enjoy a generous benefits package, including a competitive salary, 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part-time), paid memberships, life assurance, contributory pension scheme, and dedicated CPD allowance.
Requirements:
- MRCVS Registered: Be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS).
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
