We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Special Education Needs Teacher to join our team at an inclusive SEN school in East Finchley, North London.

Role Summary

  • Deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum whilst meeting the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
  • Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
  • Report on pupils' progress and concerns, and liaise with other School staff to ensure pupils' needs are met.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
  • Build positive relationships with your pupils and drive interaction and positive learning outcomes.

Requirements

  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Have a strong basic education to degree level.
  • Previous successful teaching experience.
  • Some previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an educational setting.
  • Committed to professional development and willing to learn.
  • Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
