Service Engineer - London & Southeast

Getinge is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our Surgical Workplaces service team. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our medical devices in the field, representing the company and building relationships with customers and colleagues to deliver exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, with experience in field-based work and a proven track record of problem-solving and technical expertise. You will be self-motivated, with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out routine testing and servicing of medical devices to the relevant standards
  • Problem-solving and fault-finding of equipment
  • Calibration of equipment, where necessary, and reporting faulty equipment to the Line Manager
  • Maintaining and monitoring adequate stock levels of spare parts
  • Producing quality service documentation for submission to customers
  • Maintaining regular communication with the internal Service Department, Technical Department, and Service Managers
