Job Description

This Senior Conveyancing Specialist role will be responsible for leading the delivery and co-ordination of legal support to the Council's Affordable Housing Programme.

The programme encompasses various types of conveyancing transactions, contracts, compulsory purchase, related infrastructure projects, and open market purchases.

You will be the main legal adviser for this project and provide legal clearance to committee reports dealing with all affordable housing matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and co-ordinate legal support to the Council's Affordable Housing Programme
  • Manage a caseload of conveyancing transactions, contracts, and compulsory purchase
  • Provide legal clearance to committee reports dealing with all affordable housing matters
  • Co-ordinate external legal advice commissioned for the project

About the Company

We are a local authority based in Welwyn Garden City, just 25-30 minutes by train from London Kings Cross/St Pancras.

Our offices are a 10-minute walk from Welwyn Garden City train station.

Estimated Salary

£44,937pa with potential progression to £52,279pa on achieving designated skills and experience.
