Licensing Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Licensing Officer to join our team at Adecco UK Limited. As a Licensing Officer, you will play a crucial role in the processing of applications for licenses, permits, and registrations within the Private Hire Vehicle Licensing department of City of Wolverhampton Council.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the efficient and effective operation of Licensing Services, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and deadlines are met.
- Process and issue applications for licenses and registrations, ensuring that all necessary fees are received and records are accurately maintained.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public, local businesses, and other council officers, responding to queries and providing advice and information on licensing activities.
- Operate and maintain registers, records, and statistics, both manual and computer systems, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Prepare and present reports to appropriate officers and members, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive service improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, ensuring that all activities are compliant with City of Wolverhampton Council's Constitution and other Codes of Conduct.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and other relevant tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
