About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Licensing Officer to join our team at Adecco. As a key member of our Private Hire Vehicle Licensing department, you will be responsible for assisting in the processing of applications for licenses, permits, and registrations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Application Processing: Assist in the efficient and effective operation of Licensing Services by processing applications for licenses, permits, and registrations.
  2. Customer Service: Provide an efficient and responsive customer service to the public, local businesses, and other council officers on license activities carried out by Licensing Services.
  3. Record Keeping: Operate and maintain accurate records, registers, and statistics using both manual and computer systems.
  4. Communication: Answer telephone calls and personal enquiries, and prepare and provide standard/routine letters and memoranda as required.
  5. Reporting: Prepare and present reports to appropriate officers and Members as needed.
  6. Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Service, in accordance with the agreed work pattern and Council's Conditions of Service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
