Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Anderselite Ltd. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing site teams on build projects, ensuring all aspects of the mechanical installation are completed to programme, and managing the site teams' progress, sign-offs for the main contractor, health and safety, quality, and material ordering.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and Monitor Performance: Manage and monitor the performance of labour and specialist sub-contractors to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  2. Site Meetings: Attend weekly site meetings with the main contractor to discuss project progress, address any issues, and ensure all parties are aware of the project's status.
  3. Quality Assurance: Undertake site quality inspections to ensure site compliance with client specifications and ensure that all work meets the required standards.
  4. On-Site Check Forms: Complete on-site check forms as provided by the main contractor to ensure that all work is completed to the required standard.
  5. Material Ordering: Assist with material ordering, deliveries, organisation, and safe keeping of materials on site.
  6. Plant Ordering: Order and manage plant and equipment required for the project.
  7. Milestones: Establish milestones required to ensure successful progression and completion of the project according to the main contractor's programme.
  8. Issue Reporting: Raise any issues that could affect progress to the project manager in good time.
  9. Drawings: Co-ordinate construction drawings with the office and project manager to ensure that all parties are aware of the project's requirements.
  10. Site Instructions: Ensure that any site instructions are recorded and reported back to the project manager.
  11. Client Relationships: Maintain excellent client/contractor relationships with all involved throughout the project.
  12. Quality and Workmanship: Ensure that appropriate quality and workmanship is being met throughout the project.
  13. Snagging and Handover: Ensure that snagging is identified and rectified during the course of the project and participate in commissioning and handover to a successful conclusion.

Credentials Required:

  1. Experience: Ideally possess five years' previous experience working as a site manager within your discipline.
  2. Qualifications: Hold a valid SSSTS or SMSTS certificate.
  3. Relevant Qualifications: Relevant mechanical qualifications, such as NVQ, etc.
  4. CSCS Skills Card: Hold a relevant trade CSCS skills card.

Remuneration:

The annual salary for this role is negotiable, circa £50,000, depending on previous experience. In addition, there is a discretionary company bonus scheme, laptop, PPE, and company clothing provided. Furthermore, 25 days' holiday plus stats, as well as private healthcare and a competitive pension plan.
