We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at CV Library. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing designed and build projects up to £10M (M&E value) across various sectors, including Commercial, Residential, Health, Education, and Leisure.
Key Responsibilities- Gain a thorough understanding of project design, drawings, and specifications to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and manage project programmes, including key dates and technical submittals.
- Procure labour and subcontractor packages, materials, and services to meet programme delivery requirements and cost savings.
- Maintain commercial responsibility, including value engineering and working with the QS on variations to ensure a profitable return.
- Project planning and management, ensuring compliance with contract drawings and specifications, and maintaining high standards.
- Collaborate with the Electrical counterpart to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Populate quality reports and documentation required by the main contractor.
- Progress meetings with clients and subcontractors to monitor performance and quality.
- Plan and monitor commissioning stages with the site manager and subcontractors.
- Formulate O&M manual information, working with internal admin and external O&M document builders.
- Deliver the project to handover and final account stage.
- Demonstrable record of managing multi-million-pound D&B projects as a mechanical number 1.
- Good all-round mechanical knowledge with relevant qualifications.
- Effective planning and project management skills.
- Commercial awareness, taking full responsibility for financial performance of all mechanical elements.
- Good people management and ability to motivate, lead, and maintain relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, and knowledge of business systems such as 4Projects, Fieldview, and Business Collaborator would be helpful but training available.
The annual salary for this role is negotiable, circa £60,000, depending on previous experience. In addition, there is a discretionary company bonus scheme, company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop, PPE, and company clothing provided.
Furthermore, 25 days holiday plus stats, private healthcare, and a competitive pension plan.
This role can be based on site, generally across the Midlands, or in the office, as well as some provision for remote working from home when suitable.
