Job Title: Registered Children's Home Manager

Location: Handsworth Wood, Birmingham

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

Salary: up to £45,000 (if level 5 qualified)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our dedicated team and make a difference in the lives of the children we support. As the Registered Children's Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of our children's home, ensuring that the highest standards of care and support are provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and national standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and support staff, fostering a culture of professional development and teamwork.
  • Build positive relationships with children and external agencies to promote support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure the home operates within financial guidelines.
  • Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring all inspections and reports are managed effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions in challenging situations.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and young people.
  • Full UK driving license.
