Our mission is to revolutionize the way transportation is perceived, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic Strategic Sourcing team.

This role will be based in one of our offices near Guildford or Coventry, where you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with visionary minds in the automotive field. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company, contributing to the successful launch of our new vehicle programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the selection of capable suppliers for our new vehicle programmes

• Manage the delivery of new components into production using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools

• Provide significant input into the design of components and manufacturing processes

• Develop and deploy sourcing strategies in collaboration with engineering development partners and purchasing teams

• Lead APQP activities on vehicle components/sub-systems

• Work closely with the engineering partner to ensure that Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles are followed

Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline

• Experience in a complex manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry

• Strong knowledge of TS16949/VDA requirements

• Previous experience of the commodities within the remit of the role is desired but not essential

• Experience with APQP tools and processes
