This role will be based in one of our offices near Guildford or Coventry, where you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with visionary minds in the automotive field. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company, contributing to the development of sustainable mobility solutions that will shape the industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the selection of capable suppliers for our new vehicle programmes
  • Managing the delivery of new components into production using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools
  • Providing significant input into the design of components and manufacturing processes
  • Developing and deploying sourcing strategies in collaboration with engineering development partners and purchasing teams
  • Leading APQP activities on vehicle components/sub-systems
  • Working closely with the engineering partner to ensure that Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles are followed

Requirements

We're looking for a highly experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline
  • Experience in a complex manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong background in supplier quality management and APQP tools
  • Previous experience of the commodities within the remit of the role is desired but not essential
