Join Our Team as Senior Practitioner for Early Years Foundation Stage

GLL is currently recruiting for a Senior Practitioner to work at Burnt Oak Community Nursery, a part of our leisure centre. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week with an estimated annual salary of £25,000-£30,000.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing a safe, stimulating, educational, and fun environment for children attending our setting. You will lead and motivate a team of staff in the nursery, taking ownership and driving improvements, structuring the room's day and week to ensure children receive a varied, fun, and educational learning environment.

About the Role:

  • Work with a team of nursery practitioners to deliver high-quality childcare and education to children aged 0-5 years old.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and partners to integrate the nursery with the wider children's services brand.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Child Development or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with under fives.
  • Knowledge of EYFS and understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures.
  • Ability to respond to both group and individual needs.
