At National Locums, we are working in partnership with an NHS trust based in Kent to recruit a senior specialist in ophthalmology.

This opportunity allows the successful candidate to showcase their expertise in paediatric ophthalmology and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in general and paediatric ophthalmology, including experience in ROP screening and cataract surgery. They will be expected to work collaboratively with the existing team to ensure seamless service provision.

This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible until March 2025 initially.

Key requirements for this role include:

  • A minimum of £125,000 annual salary based on national averages for consultants in similar positions within the NHS.
  • NHS experience in ophthalmology with a focus on paediatrics.
  • Demonstrable expertise in ROP screening and cataract surgery.
