Salary:

We are offering a competitive salary of around £28-£35 per hour, depending on experience, making this a superb opportunity for a qualified Scrub Nurse to diversify and elevate their skills within ophthalmological surgery.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in theatre with our expert ophthalmology surgeons, providing operative services including laser treatment, vision correction, cosmetic treatment, and various other corrective treatments for a range of eye conditions. They will also have the opportunity to nurture the specialist talent of junior nurses and continue to learn from some of the most expert ophthalmic clinicians in the UK.

Requirements:
  • NMC Registration
  • At least 6 months NHS experience as a Scrub Nurse
  • Robust clinical knowledge, good initiative, and a proactive approach to work
  • Strong initiative and commitment to mentoring talent, acting as a role model and resource to junior staff
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Honesty and integrity, and a caring patient-centred approach
