Job Title: Audiologist for Children

We are seeking a skilled Audiologist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Paediatric Audiology Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with hearing needs.

About the Role

As an Audiologist for Children, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing children with potential hearing loss between the ages of 8 months to 18 years old. You will manage a caseload of children over the age of 4 years old and perform hearing assessments on children and babies with and without complex needs under the supervision of senior audiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments of children, including routine and complex non-routine cases.
  • Provide expert advice to other staff, teachers of hearing impaired, speech therapists, health visitors, ENT consultants, and others.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with departmental and trust policies and generate clinical reports for all children seen.
  • Perform hearing screening in schools as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc in Audiology or BAAT parts I & II or equivalent.
  • Certificate of Audiological Competence (or equivalent experience).
  • Registration with RCCP (or working towards registration).

You will also need to have post-qualification experience working in a paediatric and/or adult audiology department, with basic experience in paediatric diagnostic Audiology. A good understanding of health service practices and clinical governance is also essential.
