Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigations, to children, young people, and their families in a range of settings. They will work collaboratively with other members of the team to plan and deliver appropriate individually tailored treatment plans.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS, you will be part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team which includes nurses, psychologists, systemic family therapists, and child psychotherapists. You will also be part of a Trust-wide SAS network where there are opportunities to liaise with colleagues in other posts throughout the Trust and develop peer networks.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering a safe, effective, and caring service to children and young people. They will be able to work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality specialist clinical assessments and treatment plans
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the team to deliver a safe, effective, and caring service
  • Participating in a Trust-wide SAS network to develop peer networks and share best practice
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures to improve the delivery of CAMHS services

Requirements:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Experience of working in a CAMHS setting
  • Strong commitment to delivering a safe, effective, and caring service to children and young people
