Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Forensic Therapist to join our team at East London NHS Foundation Trust. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and experience working in mental health and forensic settings.

The role involves providing recovery-focused assessments and interventions with service-users, as well as contributing to effective crisis and risk management plans. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support for our patients.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake comprehensive assessments of service-users with complex and severe mental health needs, using clinical reasoning to select appropriate assessments and techniques.
  2. Implement MOHO-based assessment tools and GAS goals to carry out ADL assessments, intervention plans, and outcomes.
  3. Work with service-users using a recovery-based approach, implementing a range of interventions to support independent living skills.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Post-qualification experience in Mental Health and/or a Forensic setting.
  • Ability to initiate and follow through projects and demonstrate leadership skills.

Salary: £38,000 - £44,000 per annum
