Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team in Portsmouth. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with our customers in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new sales opportunities in the designated area and develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular face-to-face meetings, understanding their needs, and providing excellent customer service.
- Onboard new customers effectively and ensure close working relationships with existing accounts.
- Work closely with our distribution centre and drivers to create a strong team working ethos.
- Deliver profitable volume growth and hit targets.
- Monitor competitor and independent market activity in the area to ensure we are offering our customers the best solutions.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in field sales or account management, who is commercially astute, technically proficient in Excel, and has the ability to build and maintain relationships. A passion for sales is essential, and a food background would be beneficial but not essential.
