Job Opportunity: A Senior Human Resources Role in a Fast-Paced Sporting Equipment Sector

Location: Mainly Burnley Area with Regular Travel Required

Scope: 5 Companies | Circa 200 employees | Active Compliance and Strategic HR Needed

We are looking for an experienced Strategic HR Director to drive operational HR and compliance across five companies in the sporting equipment sector, based near Burnley.

This role requires a hands-on approach to implement business-specific HR policies, manage payroll coordination, and establish a strong HR Information System (HRIS) to streamline processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational HR & Compliance: Ensure active compliance with UK employment law and develop practical HR policies across multiple sites.
  • Payroll Management: Coordinate accurate and timely payroll processing directly with an external provider.
  • HRIS Implementation: Conduct a feasibility study and participate in the setup of an HRIS system to enhance HR efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster collaborative relationships with leadership teams across each company, serving as a trusted HR advisor.
  • Employee Relations: Manage on-the-ground HR activities to promote positive workplace dynamics in a non-unionized environment.
