About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Critical Engineering Manager to join Mitie Technical and lead our critical infrastructure operations team. As a critical member of our team, you will work closely with senior operations managers to ensure best practice, compliance, asset management, and risk mitigation for all M&E services within our client portfolio.



The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering management, with experience in managing teams of multi-skilled engineers and 3rd party contractors in critical facilities such as data centres, hospitals, and laboratories. You will be responsible for ensuring that all critical systems are operational and maintained at optimal levels, with a focus on high voltage/low voltage complex systems.



Key Responsibilities


  • Liaise and manage sub-contractors for critical systems
  • Ensure MITIE SSOW and PTW submitted and approved with liaison of Senior Operations Manager
  • Prepare and submit critical systems change management requests
  • Review service reports for critical systems in conjunction with Compliance team
  • Liaise and manage subcontractors to ensure completion of scheduled maintenance
  • Maintain AP document registers and ensure all AP training up to date
  • Oversight of all BMS systems
  • Oversight of all critical systems to ensure operational and maintain % uptime
  • Undertake Site familiarisation and implement Engineers handbooks for all the Engineering team


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:




  • A recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Experience working in critical environments, managing teams of multi-skilled engineers and 3rd party contractors
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage complex systems Authorised Person
  • Working to a Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance regime
  • NEBOSH/IOSH or other recognised H+S training
  • L8 Water Hygiene experience required
  • IT literate with Microsoft Office tools and Maximo 7.6 experience advantageous
  • Able to work under own initiative
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
