About the Role:

  • This is an interim position, focusing on managing and expanding the Council's bike hangar programme.
  • The ideal candidate will oversee rental processes, manage supplier relationships, handle maintenance operations, and drive the implementation of innovative online solutions to streamline operations.
  • You will lead a team of three, delivering high-quality services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service as the point of contact for bike hangar users.
  • Project Management: Ensure timely and efficient delivery of the bike hangar programme.
  • Report Writing: Prepare detailed project reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Team Management: Lead and support a team of three, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Procurement and Governance: Ensure compliance with council policies, managing supplier contracts effectively.

Your Background:

  • We are looking for someone with extensive experience in project management, particularly in transportation or infrastructure projects.
  • You should have strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • A background in procurement and governance would be advantageous.

  • A competitive salary of £34,490 per annum (pro-rata), based on a 35-hour working week.
