The Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing organizational processes within the Power and Energy Connections sector. They ensure the safe and efficient generation of electricity while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in the Energy connections and Power infrastructure industries to grow & develop within the business.

Role Overview
  • Develop and execute strategies aligned with the company's goals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to foster knowledge exchange and continuous improvement.
  • Analyse departmental budgets to optimize profitability.
  • Inspire and motivate employees through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence.
  • Line manage Project Managers leading delivery teams.
  • Set and review annual objectives for team members.
  • Proactively explore cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies.

This position requires a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, including people management. A background in the Power and Energy Sector is also necessary.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A high voltage electrical engineering degree (preferred).
  • Additional certifications such as APM or CSCS.
  • Proficiency in designing HV substations, cable routes, and earthing systems for voltages ranging from 11kV to 400kV.
  • Experience with grid applications, feasibility studies, power system studies, and construction commissioning.
