Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our team at SSE. As a key member of our Group Risk & Audit team, you will play a critical role in supporting the SSE Group in meeting its risk management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with stakeholders to understand their risks, challenges, and priorities, and collaborate with leadership to deliver effective education, training, and change management.
- Drive the implementation and improvement of our enterprise risk management framework, providing innovative support, conducting risk workshops, and ensuring accessible training methods.
- Support operation risk management reporting and monitoring, identifying common risks, interconnected risks, and potential material impacts.
- Sufficient experience in a risk management role, including experience of implementing and embedding enterprise risk management frameworks across a large organisation.
- A relevant qualification in risk management, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead risk workshops and present to senior stakeholders with confidence.
- A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and a commitment to fostering a culture of proactive risk management.
SSE's Group Risk & Audit teams are responsible for supporting the SSE Group in meeting their risk management responsibilities, ensuring that we meet our obligations under the UK Corporate Governance Code. We undertake assurance reviews right across the business to help identify any risks that may impact our performance, integrity, solvency, or liquidity, and offer appropriate recommendations to help mitigate these.
