About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team in delivering a groundbreaking clinical trial into the early detection of Oesophageal Cancer. The BEST 4 Screening Study is a collaborative project with Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, University of Cambridge, and Cancer Research UK (CRUK) King's College London Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU).

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for managing clinics on the BEST 4 mobile unit, administering the capsule sponge test, and working alongside established clinical teams, researchers, research nurses, and administrators to facilitate recruitment, sample collection, data entry, and providing clinical support as required.

You will need to liaise closely with the clinic coordinator regarding appointments and cover on the unit, and work closely with the Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Research Team, and Project managers at KCL, Cambridge, and EMS to ensure we meet the study objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage clinics on the BEST 4 mobile unit and administer the capsule sponge test
  2. Work alongside established clinical teams, researchers, research nurses, and administrators to facilitate recruitment, sample collection, data entry, and providing clinical support as required
  3. Liaise closely with the clinic coordinator regarding appointments and cover on the unit
  4. Work closely with the Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Research Team, and Project managers at KCL, Cambridge, and EMS to ensure we meet the study objectives
Requirements
  1. NMC Registration with continued CPD
  2. Previous research experience or Upper GI experience
  3. Knowledge of research methodology
  4. Significant post-registration clinical experience
  5. Experience in performing nurse-led clinics
  6. Full UK residency and a full and clean valid driving licence
