About the Role

Main Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Pre-Assessment nurse specialists and consultants to deliver high standards of direct patient care
- Regularly perform ECG, venepuncture, swabs, and observations for patients undergoing elective surgery under GA
- Provide assistance and support to patients, carers, and the multi-disciplinary team
- Maintain high clinical standards
- Help maintain a clean and safe department environment
Requirements
- Knowledge of care and related procedures, clinical observations, relevant legislation
- Completion of a competency-based programme or equivalent relevant experience
- Level 3 qualification in a healthcare-related subject or a portfolio of equivalent demonstrable experience
About Us
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck, and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate.
