Senior Residential Childcare Worker

We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at Lily Residential Services.

Job Type: Full-time 39 hours, Permanent

Compensation:

  • £31,785.00 - £32,286.80 per annum (including sleep-in rate)
  • Hourly rate: £12.50-£13.10 per hour
  • Sleep-in rate: £55.00 per night (average of 2.25 nights per week)

Please note that salary scales are dependent on qualifications and previous experience.

  • Welcome Bonus of up to £1,500 (terms and conditions apply)

The Role:

A Senior Residential Childcare Worker provides a safe, comfortable, and supportive home for children in care who have experienced trauma and/or neglect.

You will be responsible for leading shifts, ensuring tasks and paperwork are completed, and being the identified person in charge in the absence of senior management.

Your primary focus will be maintaining high-quality care and support that meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and cultural needs of children and young people in our care.

You will work within guidelines from the 1989 Children Act, Children's Homes Regulations, quality standards, and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in care
  2. Lead shifts and ensure tasks and paperwork are completed
  3. Maintain high-quality care and support that meets the needs of children and young people
  4. Work within guidelines from relevant legislation

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Senior Residential Childcare Worker or similar role
  • Qualifications and previous experience influencing salary scales
