Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 3 at a Primary School. This rewarding position is set to commence after the October half term and will continue for the remainder of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing 1:1 support for a child in Year 3 with additional learning needs
- Assisting with their educational development, focusing on tailored support
- Collaborating with the class teacher to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Managing any challenging behaviours sensitively and effectively
Requirements:
- Previous experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable
- A patient, empathetic approach and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of the child
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one
