Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of children.
About the Role:
- This role involves providing 1:1 support to a child with SEND, adapting learning materials to meet their unique needs and abilities.
- You will assist the class teacher with preparation, activities, and implementing Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to monitor progress.
- A key aspect of this role is working collaboratively with parents, teachers, and specialists to provide holistic development and support.
- Responsibilities also include ensuring the child's social and emotional well-being, as well as their safety and physical care.
Requirements:
- You should hold a Level 2 or 3 Qualification in Childcare or a relevant qualification.
- Experience working with children with SEND is essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- We are looking for someone with a patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach, able to work effectively within a team and independently.
What We Offer:
- A competitive daily rate of £88 per day, based on experience.
- This full-time position offers a Monday-to-Friday schedule, from 8:20 am to 3:30 pm.
