The YMCA Robin Hood Group invites applications from experienced leaders to fill the position of Executive Director for Children in Care. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide strategic direction and ensure sustainable growth and development in the Children in Care service.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. You will lead a large geographically dispersed management and leadership team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities.
We seek a candidate with expertise in Safeguarding, budget management, and entrepreneurship, along with experience of driving growth in children's residential care. A true ethical entrepreneur and transformative leader, you will embody cause-driven leadership and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing strategic direction and ensuring sustainable growth and development in the Children in Care service
- Leading the growth of the provision through project management and sourcing new homes and services
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as OFSTED
- Managing a team of over 100 staff members across Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire
We require a candidate with experience of successfully implementing new services, sourcing funding streams, fundraising, and writing funding bids and applications.
Ambitious leaders with operational and strategic experience, along with expertise in Safeguarding, budget management, and entrepreneurship, are encouraged to apply.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary of £105,000 - £115,000, along with benefits including equivalent of 31 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), workplace pension, and opportunities for development and progression.
Eligibility to join the Blue Light Discount scheme and participate in regular staff events and celebrations are also offered.
Additional benefits available upon passing probation include private medical and dental cashback scheme and £120 cash annual contribution towards travel costs or childcare costs or private gym membership.
The successful candidate will work in Newark, enjoying access to our hospitality venues, including the Malt Cross and the Café at our Activity Village in Newark.
