Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

Are you a skilled IT professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Support Engineer to provide first and second-level technical support to our clients. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for administering, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues promptly. You will also lead and assist staff members during installation, planning, and procurement, and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues promptly
  • Lead and assist staff members during installation, planning, and procurement
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Provide first and second-level technical support to clients
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a relevant technical role
  • Proficiency in Server Hardware, Microsoft Hyper-V & Windows Server environment
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting, including Firewalls, VPN, Switches, Routers, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Email, Security, MFA, and applications like SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with a customer-focused attitude
  • Clean driving license, as the role will involve visits to client sites
