About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Class Teacher to join our team at Easthorpe School. As a Class Teacher for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, you will play a vital role in shaping the growth and development of our new provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, meeting the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
  • Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
  • Report on pupils' progress and concerns, and liaise with other School staff to ensure pupils' needs are met.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.

Requirements:

  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Have a strong basic education to degree level.
  • Previous successful Primary and SEND teaching experience.
  • Previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an Educational setting.
  • Committed to professional development and willing to learn.
