Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Classroom Support

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who present with SEMH and other SEN, providing individualized support and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 support to pupils in the classroom, utilizing the outdoor space to enhance learning
* Lead small group interventions with pupils working below age expected levels
* De-escalate situations where challenging behavior has arisen
* Liaise with senior members of staff to discuss pupil progress
* Contribute to the wider goals of the school

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with special educational needs
* Ability to build relationships with children who struggle to engage in lessons
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
