About the Role
At Smile Dental Care, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring that the dental practice runs smoothly.
This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, providing chairside support and ensuring the highest standard of patient care.
- Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide reassurance.
- Ensure the dental surgery is clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Monitor patient comfort during procedures and provide post-treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a high standard of patient care is maintained at all times.
Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Experience and Qualifications
- Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred).
- Dental Nursing: 1 year (required).
- Valid GDC registration (preferred).
