Oral Care Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Support our dentists during procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing reassurance.
- Evaluate patient comfort during procedures and provide post-treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless communication and a high level of patient satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Qualifications or experience in dental nursing or assisting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trust and rapport with patients.
- High levels of organisation and time management, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks.
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with a focus on creating a positive and relaxing environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team, contributing to a positive and supportive culture.

Working Hours and Location
- Monday to Friday.
- In person at our dental practice.
Experience and Qualifications
- Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred).
- Dental Nursing: 1 year (required).
- Valid GDC registration (preferred).
Payscale Information
The estimated salary for this role is approximately £26,800 - £31,700 per annum, based on a 37-hour working week and assuming annual increments. However, this is subject to change based on individual performance and market conditions.
